Howdy!! I am pleased to finally get this Blog going! My name is Bea and I live here in the community of MONTECITO. YES, WE DO EXIST (Google doesn't believe me!) I wanted to start a Blog to share community information around our "neck of the woods". We tend to hear bits and pieces about fires, mailboxes, wildlife, vegetation, and safety concerns. I wanted a place to put it all together and COMMUNICATE about our MONTECITO neighborhood. I will double check incoming information before I post . Click on the pictures to get further details. The meaning of the term, Montecito, comes from Spanish and is separated into two ideas. " Monte " (mountain, mount), combined with the diminutive suffix of " cito " or "little".
